A busy road in Tooting has been closed due to a crash.
The incident happened in Mitcham Road at the junction of Renmuir Street at around 11.30am today (August 25).
Wandsworth MPS has urged motorists on X (formally known as Twitter) to avoid the area as the crash is dealt with.
#ROADCLOSURE 🚨 | Due to a road traffic incident there are currently road closures in place effecting Mitcham Road, Longley Road and London Road.

It is unknown how many vehicles were involved or if any injuries have been reported.
The closure on Mitcham Road is also affecting traffic on Longley Road and London Road.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service for further information.
Full AA statement says: "Road blocked and queueing traffic due to crash on A217 Mitcham Road both ways near the Tooting Train Station.
"Detour in operation - for multiple bus routes."
