Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing.
Police were called to Rushmore Road, Clapton, at about 3.38pm yesterday (August 28) to reports of a fight and found a man in his 30s with stab wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency services and two men, aged 28 and 21, were arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.
A crime scene remains in place and the two men are in custody at an east London police station.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the victim at this difficult time.
"The public can expect to see continued and significant police activity in the local area as we continue with our rigorous investigation."
DCS Conway added that a number of streets were cordoned off as the investigation continues "at pace".
The victim's family have been notified and is being supported by specialist officers.
