Two men have been arrested and one has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in West Norwood.

Police were called to Norwood Road just before 12.30pm today (September 2) to reports of a crash involving a Tesco truck, a CC Electrics van, and a black Mercedes were involved.

As officers responded, more calls came in about an escalating argument between the parties involved.

Officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found two men arguing.

One of the men was taken to hospital for minor injuries after being treated at the scene.

Both men have been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12.29pm on Monday, September 2, to reports of a collision on Norwood Road, SE27.

“As officers were responding more calls came in about an escalating argument between the parties involved. 

“Officers and paramedics from LAS attended.

“They found the two men involved, arguing.

“One of the men was treated on the scene before being taken to hospital for minor injuries.

“Both men have been arrested at this stage.

“The investigation is ongoing.”

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.35pm today (September 2) to reports of a road traffic collision on Norwood Road, SE27.

“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene.

“We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital.”
