Known as the “world’s finest” Elvis Presley tribute artist, Ben Portsmouth is coming to Croydon this month.

He will bring his worldwide show, ‘This is Elvis,’ to Fairfield Halls on Saturday, September 14.

Having achieved global success in over 20 countries, with sold-out performances from the iconic Vegas stage where Elvis once performed to London’s West End, fans are in for a nostalgic journey with many of the King’s most beloved songs.

Ben said: “It’s fantastic to see such diverse age groups attending the shows.

“It proves what we already know – and that is just how much of a legend ‘The King’ was.

“His music continues to touch hearts for many reasons.”

Earlier this year, Ben and the Taking Care of Elvis Band attracted large audiences at Dartford's Orchard Centre and Orchard West venues.

Ben is set to showcase performances from every era of Elvis's career, including the 1950s beginnings, the legendary '68 Comeback Special, and his personal favourite: the 1970s Vegas concerts.

Fans can enjoy classic hits such as "I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You," "If I Can Dream," "Suspicious Minds," "Unchained Melody," and "Viva Las Vegas," all included in the performance lineup.

In 2012, Ben made history as the first European to be honoured by Elvis Presley Enterprises with the title of ‘Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist’ in Memphis.

This milestone was quickly followed by an invitation to headline a special Elvis week on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Ben added: “At the end of the day, the greatest part is being on stage, feeling that you’ve given your best performance and making people happy.

“If you walk off stage and think yeah, we’ve all had a good time, I’ve done my job.”
