Some Southern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this week due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from September 16 through to September 20.

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this week.

 

Monday to Wednesday (September 16 to September 18):

Engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Brighton, closing some lines.

The 11.25pm train from London Victoria to Brighton service will be diverted between Haywards Heath and Brighton via Lewes, and will not call at Burgess Hill or Hassocks.

A replacement bus service will operate between Three Bridges and Brighton, calling at Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Hassocks.

 

Monday to Thursday (September 16 to September 19):

Engineering work is taking place between London Victoria and Clapham Junction or Streatham Hill, closing some lines.

The 10.10pm train from East Croydon to Watford Junction service will terminate at Shepherds Bush

The 11.32pm train from London Victoria to West Croydon service will be diverted between Balham and West Croydon, calling at Selhurst.

A replacement bus service will operate between Balham and West Croydon, calling at Streatham Hill, West Norwood, Gipsy Hill, Crystal Palace and Norwood Junction.

The 11.42pm train from Watford Junction to Clapham Junction service will not run.

Passengers are advised to use alternative London Overground or London Northwestern Railway train services to complete your journey.

The 11.56pm London Victoria to Streatham Hill service will terminate at Balham.

A replacement bus service will operate between Balham and Streatham Hill.

 

Tuesday to Thursday (September 17 to September 19):

Engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Brighton, closing some lines.

The 12.02am train from London Victoria to Worthing or Eastbourne service will terminate at Three Bridges.

A replacement bus service will operate between Three Bridges to Worthing or Eastbourne.

 

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (September 17, September 19, and September 20):

Engineering work is taking place overnight between South Croydon and Purley, Caterham and/or Tattenham Corner, closing some lines.

The 12.18am train from Purley to Tattenham Corner train will not run.

A replacement bus will run from Purley to Tattenham Corner.

The 12.17am train from London Bridge to Caterham train will terminate at East Croydon. A replacement bus will run from East Croydon to Caterham.

 

Friday (September 20):

Engineering work is taking place between Redhill and Tonbridge, closing some lines.

The 10.21pm train from Tonbridge to Redhill service will depart earlier at 9.58pm.

From approximately 10.30pm until the end of service, buses will replace trains between Redhill and Tonbridge.
