Think pink, think plastic, think school cliques, think original Mean Girls – but with singing, dancing, more hilarity and more drama.
Mean Girls is one of the newest West End musicals and has, unsurprisingly, had its bookings extended until April 2025 at the Savoy Theatre.
More than 55,000 new tickets have been released, along with details for ‘Mean Girls Day’ on October 3.
On the infamous day, which falls on a Thursday this year, a one-day treasure hunt is set to take place across the West End with the opportunity to win prizes from a series of clues released throughout the day revealing secret locations.
Tickets are now also available to see the show that night, how fitting?!
I was a little too early and went to see Mean Girls last week, just because I couldn't wait any longer, – and I loved every single second of it.
I laughed out loud, was hooked, and my feet couldn’t help but tap way to all the songs which were written and choreographed perfectly.
Charlie Burn plays Cady Heron incredibly, Georgina Castle as Regina George hilariously, and you just can’t help but love Elena Gyasi as Gretchen Wieners and Grace Mouat as Karen Smith.
Elena Skye as Janis Sarkisian and Tom Xander as Damian Hubbard made the best pairing, and they made you feel like you’d actually want to be their friend in real life.
Daniel Bravo was ultimate heartthrob Aaron Samuels, Lucca Chadwick-Patel as Kevin Ganatra, Ako Mitchell as Mr Duvall and Zoe Rainey was unbeatable in her role as Ms Heron, Ms Norbury and Ms George.
Writer Tina Fey, composer Jeff Richmond, lyricist Nell Benjamin and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw have truly put together a sensational show – suitable for anyone and everyone who love a bit of high school cliquey drama.
The songs are iconic, and so are the outfits, and the show made for the perfect girlie evening out for me and my friend.
Following its world premiere in 2017 at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C, Mean Girls is an absolute asset to the West End, making the perfect addition for a birthday treat, girls night out, or a much-needed laugh and lighten up one evening.
Plus, every Wednesday at 10, front row seats are released for performances in two weeks' time.
Be fetch and get your tickets while you can, because it’s not one to miss out on.
