A bungalow and surrounding outbuildings in Romford could be demolished to make way for eight new homes.
A planning application has been submitted to Havering Council seeking approval for the redevelopment of the site at Little Manor in Noak Hill Road.
Documents accompanying the proposal detail how the existing home and eight outbuildings and barns on the site, some of which are reportedly "dilapidated", would be knocked down.
In their place, eight new detached homes would be built upon the land.
Each home would reach two storeys in height, with three bedrooms and dedicated parking.
The application has been put forward by J. Dunne Associates on behalf of Havering Development Associates Ltd.
If approved, the homes would be set back from the road in a "cluster" to avoid any "infringement upon the open fields surrounding" or green belt, according to the documents.
An "automatic new gated recessed entrance" would be created to access the plot, which would have a "main courtyard approach".

A total of two parking spaces would be dedicated to each home under the proposals, one of which would be disabled-friendly.
There would be provisions for a shared side access between homes.
Havering Council has until November 11 to make a decision on the application.
