A young man was taken hospital after being stabbed in a market place.

Emergency services were called to Market Place, in Enfield Town at 2.10am on Saturday (October 5) to reports of a stabbing.

Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Services attended.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds, Scotland Yard said.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Met police said his condition has been assessed as serious, but non life-threatening.

There have been no arrests.

Enquiries continue.
