A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing at a busy tube station in London.

The incident happened at Sloane Square Underground station just before 3.20pm today (October 7).

An ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and an air ambulance from London Ambulance Service attended.

The teen was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre where his condition is unknown.

No arrests have been made following the incident. 

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 15.27hrs on Monday, 07 October to reports of a stabbing on Lower Sloane Street, Sloane Square.

"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found who they believe to be a 15-year-old boy, suffering from a stab injury.

"He has been taken to hospital and we await an update on his condition.

"Enquiries continue.

"No arrests have been made at this time."

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3.26pm on Monday 7 October to reports of a stabbing at Sloane Square Underground Station, SW1W.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a teenager at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
