A trail of Paddington Bear statues has been unveiled across Britain in the run up to the release of the beloved character's third movie.

The 23 statues are located on benches stretching from John O’Groats to Land's End including one in - where else? - Paddington.

The figure is not however in the train station which gave him his name, but in nearby Connaught Square, with a second London location in Westfield White City.

The Paddington Visits trail is designed to get fans excited for the release of Paddington In Peru on November 8th which once again stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington alongside West Hampstead actor Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy, and Olivia Colman as a Reverend Mother.

The thrilling adventure sees the bear return home to the Peruvian jungle to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, now a resident at the Home for Retired Bears, with The Brown Family and Mrs Bird in tow, and of course get into plenty of scrapes.

Paddington creator Michael Bond lived for many years in Maida Vale and is buried in Paddington Old Cemetery near Kilburn. Fans leave toys and jars of marmalade on the grave which has the inscription 'Please look after this bear. Thank-you.'
