A former shoe repair store and convenience store could be knocked together to create a new shop.

The plan is one of various applications received by Havering Council between October 1 and October 7.

All of the planning applications will be reviewed by the council before any final decisions are made.

In New Road, Rainham, there are plans to demolish existing storage structures and replace them with a building containing five warehouses with office space above (P1173.24).

An existing home in The Fairway, Upminster, could be knocked down, with a new two-storey house planned for the site (P1236.24).

A similar application has been made for a home in Parkstone Avenue, Hornchurch (P1304.24). This would see a five bedroom detached home replace the existing building.

An HMO in Station Road, Romford, could be converted into self-contained flats (P1174.24).

Plans include creating two one bedroom flats and one two bedroom flat, as well as building a two storey rear extension.

An outbuilding in Palm Road could be demolished, and a two bedroom detached home built in its place (P1305.24).

Two vacant shops in Corbets Tey Road Upminster could be knocked together to create a single shop (P1303.24).

It is not clear from planning documents what sort of shop would open up in the space, which used to be the home of Hair and Body, and Sole Man shoe repairs.
