A man has been arrested after an alleged assault near a school in Shenfield.
Officers from the Essex Police were called to Hall Lane just before 1.30pm on October 15, with reports of an altercation between an man and woman.
At the scene, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault less than an hour after the initial report was received.
Police will be conducting patrols in the area as enquiries continue.
Chf Insp Terry Fisher, Brentwood and Epping Forest district commander, said: “We understand how concerning this incident would have been for people, especially as it was near a school.
“I want to reassure you that we believe this is an isolated incident and that the people involved were known to each other.

“Our officers will be carrying out extra patrols over the next few days, so if you have questions or concerns please do come and speak to us.”
