Multiple police cordons have been put in place after 24-year-old man was stabbed in Lewisham.
The incident happened in Lewisham High Street near Lewis Grove at around 10.25pm yesterday (October 16).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Pictures from the scene show several cordons in place in Lewis Grove as the incident is being dealt with.
A large blue tent has also been erected inside the cordon.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 10.25pm on Wednesday, 16 October to reports of a man stabbed on Lewisham High Street.
“Officers attended. The 24-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment; we await an update on his condition.
“A crime scene is in place.
“A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 reference CAD 8404/16Oct.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.18pm to reports of an incident in Lewisham High Street, SE13.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road.”
