A firefighter transformed her historic fire station into a more attractive and welcoming place with hanging baskets, trees and shrubs.
Hannah Gould was awarded a £2,000 grant by Camden Giving to transform her West Hampstead Fire Station in West End Lane.
The resulting project has transformed the station's forecourt into a welcoming space for the community - with curious parents and children among visitors.
By introducing flowering plants and shrubs, Hannah has created an inviting environment that encourages people to stop and have a chat with the firefighters at the station.
Hannah collaborated with Camden Giving and Unity Works, a charity that teaches adults with learning disabilities employability skills.
Yodit Tesfamariam, partnerships and communications manager, at Camden Giving, said: "It was great to be at the unveiling of Hannah’s project and see parents stopping by with their kids to join in.
“I love seeing residents like Hannah take the lead.
"This greening project not only brightens up the West Hampstead Fire Station but also brings people together, creating a welcoming space for everyone.
"We hope to continue empowering residents like Sophie and encourage more businesses to invest in projects that benefit our community."
