Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Croydon.

The incident happened in Kent Gate Way just before 7.30am yesterday (October 20).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and the driver and a passenger of a vehicle were found injured.  

They were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where their injuries were assessed as non life-threatening or life-changing.

Investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the crash.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 07.26hrs on Sunday, 20 October to reports of a road traffic collision in Kent Gate Way, Croydon.

“London Ambulance Service attended and the driver and passenger were taken to hospital for treatment.

“Their condition is neither life-threatening nor life-changing. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD1701//20Oct."

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 7.28am yesterday (Sunday 20 October) to reports of a road traffic collision in Kent Gate Way, Croydon.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews.

“Our crews treated two patients at the scene, before taking both to hospital."
