Residents in parts of south west London have been left without water today (October 26) due to a urgent repairs on a large water pipe on Wandsworth High Street.
The works, which impact postcodes SW11, SW15, and SW18 today (October 26), include topping up the local water supply with tankers to keep taps flowing.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: “We are aware overnight works can impact residents and businesses, so we will try to keep disruption to a minimum.”
Customers may experience fluctuating water pressure during peak morning and evening times, as the repair work has slightly reduced the pressure in the network.
“We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can,” added the spokesperson.
“We also provide free services that might help you if you have no water in the future – if you’ve not already done so, why not check to see if you’re eligible to join our Priority Services Register?
"Thank you for your patience while we work to restore supplies.”
