A person has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after a protest in West Hampstead this afternoon.
Police were called to a protest outside a Jewish community centre on Finchley Road today at 8.55am (October 27).
Officers attended and remain on scene monitoring the situation.
The Metropolitan Police are also in liaison with staff at the venue to ensure they "feel supported".
Conditions under section 14 of the Public Order Act have been imposed on those protesting.
Section 14 of the Public Order Act allows authorities to impose conditions on public assemblies if they are likely to cause serious disruption to community life.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "At approximately 8.55am on Sunday, October 27 we were made aware by staff at a venue in Finchley Road, NW3 of a number of protesters gathering at the location.
"Officers attended and remain on scene monitoring the situation.
"We are also in liaison with staff at the venue to ensure they feel supported.
"Conditions under section 14 of the Public Order Act have been imposed on those protesting.
"One person has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
"The protest remains ongoing."
