A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing on a residential road in Balham.
Police were called to the stabbing in Laitwood Road at 6am today.
A man was found with knife injuries and he was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.
Officers also arrested a man, 21, on suspicion of attempted murder and he remains in police custody.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Monday October 28, at 6am police were called to Laitwood Road, SW12 following reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended the scene and found a man suffering with stab injuries.
“They currently remain in hospital. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and he remains in custody.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call 101 and quote CAD reference 1017/28OCT24.
“Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers.”
