A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after a car crash in Walthamstow.
The incident happened at the North Circular by the Crooked Billet Interchange just before 3.20am yesterday (October 28).
Emergency services attended and found two men trapped in a car.
Both of them were taken to hospital, where the driver’s injuries were deemed non-life threatening and non-life changing.
However, the passenger remains in hospital with life changing injuries.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and dangerous driving.
He remains in custody for questioning.
The road remained closed for over eight hours between Chingford Road and Crooked Billet Interchange.
Bus routes on the A112 as a result were diverted including the 97, 158, 215, 357 and W11.
