Pave the way for the newest shop in town – Squeezed!

This invigorating place recently set up shop in Balham, near Tooting Bec Station, and from the moment I set eyes upon it – it was love at first sight.

I knew I had to review it.

The decor looked beautiful, like a captivating waterfall in the midst of a scary, fearful, terrifying forest that entices you to look further, to figure out the complexities of it, to figure out why it was there, why it decided to bless us with its presence.

But, before we get into the logistics of the review, I first need to present the dear readers with the elusive backstory behind it.

The place first opened only a few months ago – on the fifth of April.

Squeezed is a juice and sushi bar, which might seem like an unusual combination, but it works pretty well in Balham.

As one of the founders put it (paraphrased) “We wanted there to be a healthy shop, one that sold items like sushi in a casual environment. Balham was the perfect area to do that in, due to the vast number of shops around here”.

The shop prioritises healthy eating, with there being a wide variety of food and drinks available, from milkshakes, to noodles, which can fit many people’s tastes.

I got the Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake which ended up costing me £6.50. I waited around 5 minutes for my order, which for a Tuesday lunchtime, was quite fast.

Cups were provided, which included the place’s logo, and a plastic straw.

There was a considerable amount of milkshake.

The rich blend of mint, along with the chocolatey exterior, provided my taste buds with a new and invigorating flavour, which in my opinion, hadn’t been done before.

Although, towards the end of the milkshake journey, it starts to get a little but mushy.

This could be unpleasant for some, but for me this brought a sense of happiness.

Getting past the brain freeze, this milkshake is a once in a lifetime opportunity, laying in your hands, waiting for you to grasp and enjoy it.

Overall, this shop is an amazing opportunity to indulge into your curiousities, and to try new things.

Along with the kind and supportive people there, it is in the heart of Tooting Bec, which is beneficial for business, and is convenient for public transport users, as it is a brisk 5-minute walk from Tooting Bec Station.

So, if you ever find yourself in Balham, why not come down to try it?
