Residents are being invited to attend Remembrance services across Havering to honour those who served the country.

The events will take place on Sunday, November 10, and people are encouraged to join in marking the occasion.

Mayor of Havering, Councillor Gerry O’Sullivan, said: "We welcome everyone to come together and mark Remembrance Sunday once again in Havering.

"It gives the borough a chance to remember our servicemen and women from Britain and the Commonwealth, who gave so much in order to keep us safe.

"We are proud to stand as a community to mark this significant occasion each November, which highlights the continued bravery and sacrifices of our Armed Forces."

In Romford, a parade will begin at 10.30am from outside the Liberty Shopping Centre, Western Road, followed by a service in Coronation Gardens.

Upminster's paradeis  at 10.40am, followed by a service at the war memorial in Corbets Tey Road.

In Hornchurch, there will be a parade at 10.15am, followed by a service at St Andrew’s Church.

Elm Park's service will be at 10.45am at the Royal British Legion, while Harold Hill's parade and service will be at 10.40am at the war memorial in Hilldene Avenue.

There are services in Harold Wood at 10.40am at the new war memorial in Arundel Road and at 10.50am at Memorial Hall, with a parade to St Peter’s Church.

In Rainham, a parade and service is scheduled to start at 10.35am at Rainham War Memorial.
