Seven eateries in Bromley have scored poor food hygiene ratings this year.
Of these venues, three received a score of 1 out of 5 during inspections since January, meaning that major improvements are necessary.
Three places scored a 2/5, meaning “improvement necessary.”
Inspectors from Bromley Council’s environmental health even found that one of these scored the lowest possible score, a 0/5, meaning that “urgent improvement” was necessary.
We have listed the eateries and the date their rating was given.
It’s important to note that this list is only about Bromley restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes, and did not feature any takeaways or sandwich shops.
Spice Lounge
This Indian restaurant on 226 Main Road in Biggin Hill was given a 0/5, meaning “urgent improvement necessary”, on August 5.
Elliott’s Coffee
This coffee shop on 20 Chatsworth Parade in Petts Wood was given a 1/5 rating on March 2.
Inspectors said “major improvement” was “necessary” for the coffee shop.
Filoxenia
This restaurant on 35 High Street was given a 1/5 rating on August 21.
The cleanliness and conditions of the facilities and building was found to be generally satisfactory, while the hygienic food handling and management of food safety needed “major improvement”.
Unico Gelato and Caffe
This ice cream shop on 75 High Street was given a 1/5 rating on September 23.
The hygienic food handling was considered good, while improvement was found to be necessary in the cleanliness and condition of the facilities.
Major improvement was found necessary in the management of food safety.
Boescakes
This cake shop restaurant on 115 High Street was given a 2/5 rating on April 17.
Inspectors said that improvement was “necessary” in all areas.
Coffee X
This coffee shop on 20 Station Square was given a 2/5 rating on March 12.
Although inspectors considered the hygienic food handling and the management of food safety to be generally satisfactory, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building were dubbed as “improvement necessary”.
Naka Café
This café on 53 High Street in Penge was given a 2/5 rating on January 3.
Inspectors said the management of food safety and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and buildings was generally satisfactory.
However, hygienic food handling was dubbed as needing necessary improvement.
