Plans to turn an estate agent into a restaurant and create four new Padel courts at playing fields in Romford are among the applications in this week's planning list.

A total of 40 planning applications were submitted to Havering Council between October 22 and October 28 from across the borough's wards.

These included proposals for extensions, lost conversions and garden outbuildings at residential properties - however, we have summed up the most notable applications here.

Erection of a 2 storey 3-bed end of terrace house (P1404.24)

Imer Morina has submitted proposals to build a two-storey end of terrace house, with three bedrooms, at 73 Gelsthorpe Road, Collier Row, Romford.

This includes associated car parking, rubbish and cycling storage.

Havering Council is expected to make a decision by December 19.

Replacement of two 5-a-side football pitches with four Padel tennis courts (P1410.24)

Andrew Bell has submitted plans to replace the two five-a-side football pitches at Powerleague Romford - in King George's Playing Fields, Eastern Avenue - with four Padel tennis courts.

This includes associated fencing floodlighting and canopies.

Havering Council is expected to make a decision on this application by December 16.

Retrospective application for 7 x two storey, 3-bed dwellings (P1359.24)

Zaavia Design has submitted a retrospective application on behalf of Pellumb Mazreku for seven two-storey homes on the land next to Tweed Hall, Tweed Way, Collier Row.

This includes associated parking and amenity space, with Havering Council expected to make a decision by December 18.

Removal of containers, part demolition and reconstruction to create a first floor office (P1330.24)

Elm Site Services has submitted a planning application to remove containers, and demolish and reconstruct unit 7 and 8 at Deans Factory Estate, Lambs Lane North, Rainham.

This is with the aim of increasing the height and creating a first floor office space.

Havering Council is expected to make a decision on these plans by December 18.

Change of Use from Estate Agent to mixed use as ground floor restaurant and residential first floor 1xbed flat (P1429.24)

Tariq Mahmood has submitted proposals to turn Balgores at 3 Old Mill Parade, Victoria Road, Romford, into a restaurant.

The plans also include a residential first floor flat, with one bedroom, and changes to the front of the building.

Havering Council is expected to make a decision on these plans by December 18.
