A shoe shop in East Ham is set to be turned into a restaurant.
Newham Council has approved a lawful development certificate planning application relating to plans for Deeps Footwear at 132 High Street North to be turned into an eatery.
The proposal was submitted on the planning portal on October 25, with the council issuing its approval on November 1.
Documents accompanying the application have not yet revealed the nature of the restaurant that will replace the shoe store on the high street.

The existing shoe store floor space consists of the shop floor, storage space to the ground and lower ground floor, and a bathroom to the rear.
A bin store is located in the rear service yard where deliveries for the store are received.
Once works get underway to transform the space into a restaurant, the layout will be maintained and "minor internal alterations" made to help the transition.
