More than 60 car parking spaces in Catford town centre could be built over to make way for two new tower blocks.
Lewisham Council plans to use the Thomas’ Lane car park as the site of 113 new homes.
All of the flats in the tower blocks – which will stand at 13-storeys and nine-storeys high – will be “affordable”.
The development will see 65 car parking spaces at the existing site axed, and a two-storey building used for the construction of film and TV sets and scenery demolished.
Only Blue Badge parking and a loading pay will remain once the new tower blocks are built.

The buildings will be arranged around a central yard space that connects to the pub garden at the former Catford Constitutional Club, which is undergoing restoration work.
The ground floors and part of the first floors of both blocks will be used as office space or for other commercial purposes.
If planning approval is granted, work on the site is expected to start in 2026 and will last for two years.
The project is funded by the council supported by £1.65m in funding from the Mayor of London.
