Police are investigating after vehicles were damaged by objects believed to have been fired by a catapult along a major road.
Kent Police received the first of several alerts at 5.50pm on November 7, relating to a number of damaged vehicles on the A2 near Darenth.
At the scene, objects were located inside some of the affected vehicles that appear to have been fired from a catapult.
The nature of the objects has not been confirmed.
There were no injuries reported in connection to the incidents.
No suspects have been identified and enquiries into the reports are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "At around 5.50pm on Thursday 7 November 2024 Kent Police received the first of several calls relating to damage being caused to vehicles travelling on the A2 near Darenth.

"Objects were located within some of the vehicles that are believed to have been fired from a catapult.
"Officers attended to speak to those travelling in the vehicles and check on their welfare, and a thorough search of the local area was carried out.
"No suspects were identified and enquiries into the reports are ongoing. No injuries were reported."
