A Range Rover erupted in flames and was destroyed after an explosion in Islington.
Firefighters rushed to a car on fire on Hartham Road in the early hours of this morning (November 8) after over 30 calls were made just after midnight.
Images shows the moment the car was in a ball of flames as people in the area watched on.
The Gazette is told that people living in the area heard “repeated explosions” coming from the car.
Police had cordoned off the road as firefighters tackled the blaze.
Two fire engines and 10 firefighters were at the scene and it was under control by 1am.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters tackled a car fire on Hartham Road in Islington.
“One car was destroyed by fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took over 30 calls to this fire, with the first call received at 2359. Control Officers mobilised crews from Holloway and Shoreditch fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0100.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
