Plans have been made to add five more bedrooms to a four-bed HMO next to a school in Rainham.
A planning application has been submitted by Redwoods Project, on behalf of a Mr Brander, to add a two-storey rear extension to School House, in Lowen Road - with the hope of fitting nine bedrooms in the house in total.
Planning documents reveal that the extension would measure eight metres on the ground floor and three metres on the first floor.
The house in multiple occupation (HMO) - where each room is rented out to different people who are not from the same family - now has one bedroom on the ground floor and three bedrooms on the first floor.

With the new extension, the applicant now aims to have five bedrooms on the ground floor and four bedrooms on the upper floor.
Each room is an average of 11 metres sq and has its own bathroom.
School House sits next to Newtons Primary School, with the front lawn of the property next to the school's car park.
A similar application for the house was submitted in July, to change the home from a single residential dwelling to a "large HMO of 9 units".
These proposals were refused by Havering Council on September 6, due to a "lack of suitable internal communal areas" for occupants and its floor space "failing to meet the standard of 120 square metres".
An officer report published after the refusal revealed that seven residents had objected to the plans, as well as a local councillor.
Concerns raised included antisocial behaviour that would be a "threat to the school community" and that the proposals would result in the "unacceptable loss of a much needed small family home" in the area.
If the current planning application to create a "large" HMO is approved, building works could start as soon as February 2025.
Havering Council is expected to make a decision on the plans by December 24.
