A man has been taken to hospital after liquid was thrown into his eyes at North Greenwich station.
The incident happened at the underground station in Millennium Way shortly before 7pm yesterday (November 9).
Officers were called to the scene and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life changing.
Police believe that the liquid was found to be an irritant.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called shortly before 19:00hrs on Saturday, 9 November, to a man who had liquid throw into his eyes.
“The liquid was found to be an irritant.
"The man was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is not life-threatening of life-changing.
“There has been no arrest.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, ref 6089/09nov.”
