Another Sainsbury’s supermarket might soon open in Camden Town.

The chain has submitted an application to Camden Council for a premises licence at 6-12 Parkway.

The site used to be occupied by clothes retailer Gap, but is currently vacant.

Sainsbury’s has asked to be able to open the new store for 24 hours every day of the week.

Alcohol would also be served between 8am until 11pm from Monday to Saturday, and between 10am and 10.30pm on a Sunday, if the licence application is approved.

The new shop would be located just a short walk from the existing superstore on the other side of Camden Town Tube station in Camden Road.

Comments on the application (APP\PREMISES-NEW\124411) can be made by email to licensing@camden.gov.uk until November 19.

Sainsbury’s has been approached for more details about the new supermarket.
