Roads in Greenwich are to be closed for three nights to facilitate cycleway extension work.
Transport for London (TfL) is set to carry out the work in Anchor and Hope Lane and Woolwich Road.
The temporary closure will start on Monday (November 11) and will be in place from 9pm to 5am.
The roads affected are Anchor and Hope Lane, from the junction of Bugsby's Way to Woolwich Road, and Woolwich Road, from the junction with Gallions Road to Anchor and Hope Lane.
The order, issued by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, will be valid for 18 months, but the works are expected to last only three nights.
The duration of the order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
During the closure, traffic will be diverted, with the appropriate signage in place.
Pedestrian access will not be affected, and vehicle access will be maintained wherever possible.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles used in connection with the works.
The closure is being implemented under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The aim is to facilitate TfL's investigative work related to the cycleway extension.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich's Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise & Skills can be contacted for queries concerning these works on 020 8921 6340.
The restrictions will be in force only when indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
