A postal collection office in Harrow has shut, with Royal Mail claiming the move will lead to a "better service".
The point at the Hawthorn Centre in Elmgrove Road has closed and from Saturday (November 9), customers have been advised they will need to pick up parcels four miles away at the Harrow Delivery Office in Greenford.
A spokesperson from Royal Mail said: “We are merging our customer service point at Elmgrove Road into our Harrow Delivery Office.
“Deliveries will continue as normal, with any items that cannot be delivered on the first attempt scheduled for automatic redelivery the next working day.
“Relocating to a larger, dedicated delivery office will provide better facilities for our posties and help us provide a better service.”
Royal Mail said customers can also have items delivered to their local post office for collection.
The Greenford delivery office is open from 8am to 10pm every day except Sunday.
