A flat at a 24-storey block in Canning Town has been damaged following a fire.
The London Fire Brigade was alerted to a fire in an apartment on the 20th floor of a building in Forty Acre Lane at around 2.43am today (November 12).
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were dispatched to the scene from stations across Poplar, East Ham, Millwall and Stratford.
The flat was partially damaged in the fire which has since been recorded as accidental.
There were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
The emergency was over by 3.44am, taking just over an hour to safely extinguish.
