An axe was found at the scene of a triple stabbing in Finsbury Park.
One of the three people stabbed has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after police were called to Clifton Terrace in Finsbury Park at 2.40pm.
Officers arrived at the road, next to Finsbury Park Station bus stop, and found a male injured with stab wounds.
A male was arrested following the incident and he remains in custody.
CCTV footage during the attack showed one person with a “small axe”, the Metropolitan Police said.
The force added that police have since recovered an axe near the scene.
However police have not specified whether the axe was used as a weapon to inflict any wounds.
At around 3pm that day, police were called to a north London hospital by staff, and two other males also had stab injuries.
Police believe that these stabbings are linked to the earlier incident in the area.
Both men have been arrested, one man was taken into custody and the second is still in hospital for his injuries.
