A man has been charged with the murders of a teenage boy and a man in Archway.
Leonardo Reid, 15, and 23-year-old Klevi Shekaj died after being stabbed in the Elthorne Road area on June 29, 2023, at 11.30pm.
Over a year later, Lorik Lupqi has been charged with their murders.
The 21-year-old is also charged with the attempted murder of another man injured in the same incident.
He was extradited from Kosovo after detectives worked with the Kosovan authorities, the National Crime Agency and the Crown Prosecution Service for his return.
Lupqi is appearing at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (November 12).
Four other men have already been charged as part of the investigation and are remanded in custody.
Jason Furtado, 26, of Halton Road in Islington, was charged with two counts of murder, attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Abel Chunda, 27 of Highgate Hill, was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Eden Clark, 29, of Huddleston Road in Tufnell Park, was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Xavier Poponne, 21, of Halton Road in Islington, was charged on May 1 this year with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and two counts of possession with intent to supply the Class A drugs.
A trial has been set for March 17 next year.
