Whether it's fine dining or a satisfying sandwich they're after, real foodies can find some prizewinning places to eat in north London.
The Good Food Awards has published its 2024/2025 guide to the best places to eat around the UK.
Judged on a combination of food hygiene ratings, customer reviews and votes, the awards are free to enter, and celebrate "the hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field".
There were five categories: fine dining: cafes, bistros, sandwich shops, coffee houses & tea rooms; fish & chip shops and restaurants; takeaways; and gastro pubs and inns, taverns or pubs serving food.
The best win a Gold Seal, with highly commended entrants receiving a Blue Ribbon.
Here are the north London favourites that won, sorted by category.
FINE DINING
Taste of Nawab, which has been serving Indian and Bengali food in Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, for 28 years, won a Gold Seal.
Earlier this year it won Best Restaurant category at the 15th annual Curry Life Awards having secured Trip Advisor's Editor's Choice award last year.
