London Zoo is inviting families to meet Santa and attend a series of Christmas events.
The zoo will host festive activities for all ages from November 23 to January 5.
There are craft workshops to learn about the 10,000 animals who call the zoo their home and of course there’s Santa’s grotto.
Mums and dads can book a session with Mrs Claus, with festive food vouchers and a guided tour, while early risers can book a VIP Breakfast before the zoo opens.
Yet even Santa has his zookeeping duties. Eagle-eyed children can earn stickers for spotting him feeding the animals.
As the countdown to Christmas Day begins, families can join zookeepers for ‘The 12 Animals of Christmas’, a series of talks with a festive activity, with the animals enjoying their very own Christmas food.
Children can join the “reindeer rubbish round-up” recycling challenge to learn how small changes have a big impact on the planet. They can also make decorations at the Christmas Craft station to take home or add to the zoo’s festive displays.
But the ultimate yuletide experience is booking a Christmas sleepover at the London Zoo Lodges on select dates, spending the night with the lion cubs’ first Christmas and having a night-time tour of the zoo.
