A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being hit by a lorry in Park Royal.

The incident happened in Old Oak Lane near Goodhall Street at around 2.20pm today (November 13).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a woman injured.

She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Road closures remain in place between Shaftesbury Gardens and Channel Gate Road as the incident is being dealt with.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 2.20pm on Wednesday, 13 November to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in Old Oak Lane, NW10.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian – a woman – was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

“The lorry stopped at the scene – there has been no arrests.

“Road closures remain in place and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”

A spokesperson London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.19pm today (Wednesday 13 November) to reports of a road traffic collision on Old Oak Lane, Park Royal.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and members of our hazardous area response team (HART). We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in three minutes.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre by road.”
