Some Southern trains running through Croydon will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this weekend due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from November 16 through to November 17.

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

 

Saturday and Sunday (November 16 and November 17):

Engineering work is taking place at London Victoria, closing all lines.

No Gatwick Express or Southern services will run to or from London Victoria.

Replacement buses will run between East Croydon and Clapham Junction, calling at West Croydon, Selhurst, Thornton Heath, Norbury, Streatham Common, Balham and Wandsworth Common.

Trains to and from Ore, Eastbourne, Brighton, Portsmouth Harbour, Littlehampton and East Grinstead will be diverted to run to and from London Bridge instead of London Victoria.

These trains will run to an amended timetable, with extended journey times.

Trains to and from Horsham and Dorking will be amended to run to and from London Bridge, and will run non-stop between Mitcham Eastfields and London Bridge.

Trains between Sutton and Streatham Hill via West Croydon, and between Selhurst and Epsom Downs via West Croydon will run to an amended timetable.

Trains between Caterham and Tattenham Corner and London Bridge via Tulse Hill will also run to an amended timetable.

Trains between London Bridge and London Victoria via Crystal Palace will not run.

No direct trains will run between Reigate and London. 

Trains will run between Reigate and Redhill, change at Redhill for alternative connections to and from London.

No trains will call at stations between East Croydon and London Bridge via Sydenham.

 

Sunday (November 17):

Engineering work is taking place between Leatherhead and Cheam until 7.15am, closing all lines.

Until approximately 7.15am on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Epsom and Sutton.

Replacement buses will depart earlier to meet trains to London at Sutton, as these will depart at the usual time.

Journey times will be longer on replacement buses.

Engineering work is also taking place between Bexhill and Ashford International, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Bexhill and Hastings, Ore, and Ashford International.

Trains between Brighton, Eastbourne and Bexhill will run to an amended timetable.

Journey times will be longer on replacement buses.
