This Christmas, Santa will be coming to Sutton’s St Nicholas Centre, and visitors can come and meet the man himself.
Alongside the grotto experience, visitors can take part in games, parties, and even an elf school.
Christmas 2024 at Centrale & Whitgift promises to be a “magical winter wonderland”, with something for everyone.
Here are all the Christmas events at the St Nicholas Centre this year.
Gingerbread Games – November 23
On November 23, children can dive into the festive spirit with the St Nicholas Centre’s “fun-filled” games and decorate their own gingerbread man to take home.
Visitors must book on the Eventbrite Gingerbread Games page.
There is also a SEN-friendly edition.
Rudolph’s Reindeer School – November 30
On the last day before we’re officially in the Christmas month, people can join in on this interactive activity by learning how to take care of a reindeer.
There will also be a sing-along for children to take part in.
Children can finish the activity by making some magical reindeer food ready for Rudolph and all the other reindeers for Christmas Eve.
Elf Academy – December 7
Children can enrol in the Elf Academy on the first Saturday of December.
The Elf Academy is gearing up to teach children how to be an elf and they’ll receive lessons, including the tricks of toy testing like a real elf.
Visitors will then be able to decorate their own spinning top to take home as a festive keepsake.
St Nic’s Big Xmas Party – December 14
On Saturday, December 14, visitors can end the season with a bang at their big Christmas party.
Visitors can join the team for festive party games hosted by Ellie and Eva, the party elves.
Santa’s Grotto
On December 23, Santa will make an appearance at the St Nicholas Centre in his magical winter wonderland and will be at the shopping centre on other selected dates which are to be confirmed.
To attend all of these, visitors must book tickets on the Eventbrite website.
A statement on the St Nicholas Centre website states: “Santa returns to St Nics on Saturday, November 23, in his magical winter wonderland, and will be with us on selected dates on the run-up to the Big Day.
“Enter our Gingerbread Room and take a selfie with our fun festive characters before exploring Santa’s Post Room on your way to the North Pole.
“Once you’ve met with the man himself you can also greet some of Santa’s reindeer and sit in his sleigh.
“There’s also lots of fun festive activities for kids at St Nics coming up.”
