A “boring” 2025 wall calendar has been printed showing storage unit warehousing — all to help raise funds for cancer research.
The Storage Unit Calendar with its tongue-in-cheek title of “possibly the most boring calendar ever” has 12 of the ‘hottest storage units’ from all over the country, including ones in Harrow, King’s Cross, Barking and Cricklewood.
They turn the humdrum world of storage into an unexpected celebration of ‘minimalism’.
Each month offers a glimpse into a different storage centre. December brings the ‘star’ of the show — a spacious 700sq ft unit at the Harrow Access self-storage centre in Neptune Road “for those who appreciate the beauty of vast, empty spaces”. It closes out the year “with maximum storage capacity”.
Other months for 2025 include February’s 30sq ft storage unit Barking, off Alfred’s Way, or May’s iconic red telephone box-sized 10sq ft units “with polished concrete flooring” at Vale Royal just north of Kings Cross, or September’s exterior shot of a 200sq ft unit at the Cricklewood self-storage centre in Roman Road.
The calendar sells at £5 in time for Christmas with 100 per cent proceeds to Cancer Research UK, making “a quirky gift supporting a meaningful cause”, from any Access self-storage centre. The aim is raising £30,000 for cancer research.
