Harlequins Rugby Club’s Big Game is back on Saturday 28 December at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham for the sixteenth year running.
This event is the largest annual club rugby match in the world and 82,000 are expected to attend and enjoy this spectacular occasion.
Gates to the ground open at 1.00pm and ‘kick off’ is at 3.00pm with Harlequins Women’s team taking on Leicester Tigers.
This is followed by the Men’s team at 6.00pm reigniting their rivalry in the Gallagher Premiership against Leicester Tigers.
In addition to these two exceptional rugby matches, there will be top-notch entertainment.
Visitors to the Big Game 16 will be able to experience a fun-filled afternoon with free fairground rides in the West Fan Village, a pyro and laser light show, and a wide selection of food and drinks.
To celebrate this spectacular occasion, legendary dance music group Rudimental, hailed as one of the most successful music acts of the past decade, are the headline entertainment act for Big Game 16. They will be performing in the centre of the pitch during the 30 minute pyrotechnic display, prior to the men’s game.
Harlequins CEO Laurie Dalrymple said: “World class musical acts have been a key part of the Big Game experience since day one and Rudimental are the perfect act to electrify the crowd.
“After recent brilliant performances from the likes of Pete Tong, Faithless and Joel Corry, I can assure fans we have another brilliant performance ahead. And if you thought last year’s remarkable laser light show was spectacular, wait until you see what we have in store this year!
“Rudimental’s legendary status in the music industry speaks for itself and their music has the power to energise and unite audiences, just like rugby.”
Piers Aggett from Rudimental added: “We're absolutely buzzing to be performing at Big Game 16!
“The energy and passion of rugby fans is famous, and we’re excited to contribute to the electrifying atmosphere that only a day like this can create.
“We know that Big Game is a key highlight of the British festive season, being the highest-attended stadium event in the country, so we’re planning to continue the Christmas celebrations and spread some festive party energy to a packed-out Twickenham Stadium.”
This promises to be a fun filled and exciting day for everyone and will be testament to the annual pilgrimage of friends and families reuniting over the festive period, to create a remarkable celebratory atmosphere in the Home of English Rugby.
