Money is up for grabs to help new communities in the Brent Cross Town development with the public voting to choose five projects.
Voters have until December 2 to make three choices from a shortlist of seven, with £50,000 on the table from the developers and Barnet Council for grants between £3,000 and £10,000.
Five of the seven shortlisted will get funding if they get enough votes.
Information on the schemes and how to vote can be found here.
They include an education programme for youngsters at risk of knife violence, a scheme to help people with learning disabilities or autism and another for youth work and sport qualifications.
Also shortlisted is a a project to help refugees find jobs, another to improve speaking English, a three-month scheme to help 300 youngsters “disproportionately affected” by climate change in deprived areas and a project for 20 unemployed school-leavers to train as ‘fitness instructors’.
The grants come through the ‘ActionFunder’ platform to improve community life in the Brent Cross Town development.
