Havering is home to a wide range of well-liked boozers - although some have attracted some hilarious reviews.
A number of the borough's pubs receive pleasant reviews from TripAdvisor's satisfied customers, but some comments are more outlandish than others.
Here are four funny TripAdvisor reviews of pubs across Havering.
Gidea Park Micropub
The Gidea Park Micropub may be small, but many reviewers hail its fantastic atmosphere and drinks range.
Averaging 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor, the Micropub's rotation of beers and ciders is regularly credited in reviews.
One punter must have had one too many though, feeling the need to provide a friendly warning for future customers: "Beware, some of the ciders are lethal!"
Another reviewer, clearly not overly proud of his hometown, claimed that the Gidea Park Micropub is "proof that we can have nice things even in Romford".
Cheer up - Romford's not that bad!
The Aspen Tree, Romford
We've all experienced the dreaded feeling of an upset stomach after eating. The only thing worse than this is being in a public setting when it attacks!
One customer at The Aspen Tree felt the need to inform the pub of their friend's internal battle during a visit.
"Soon after the meal my friend had terrible wind, ran off to the toilet and had a horrible experience.
“P.S I hope the worker had a nice time cleaning the toilet after my friends bowels finished releasing the devil 😈."
Seems a bit harsh on the worker.
The Good Intent, Hornchurch
Service can often make or break your pub experience and sometimes high quality personal service can be a sole contributor to repeat custom.
The Good Intent in Hornchurch certainly secured a new customer thanks to one barman who himself may have secured an admirer.
Here is what the punter had to say: "Great service from Geff behind the bar, even under pressure... Geff is an enigma... did I mention Geff is amazing?🤩"
Yates, Romford
We've all been there having to fulfil a word count for an assignment or an essay, well it turns out this can be the same for TripAdvisor reviews.
One visitor to Yates in Romford, had a "perfect" experience, although seemingly not "perfect" enough to meet a 100 character word count.
“Such a good vibe and funny people, love the staff too. Perfect pub mwah mwah mwah apparently I have to use 100 characters so this is just waffle."
At least they were honest.
