There have been no arrests one day after a child, woman and motorcyclist were taken to hospital after a crash in Whitechapel.
Police were called to reports of a motorbike crash involving two pedestrians at Whitechapel Road on Wednesday (November 20) at 3.44pm.
At the scene, medics treated a woman, a child and the rider of a motorcycle - all three were taken to hospital.
Today (November 21), police have confirmed their injuries are non-life threatening and there have been no arrests at this stage.
Investigations into the circumstances continue.
During the incident, Whitechapel Road was blocked with very slow traffic both ways at Brady Street and A107 Cambridge Heath Road.
Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, the Tactical Response Unit and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A detour operation was in place for bus routes 25, 205 and 254.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, 20 November at 15:44hrs police were called to Whitechapel Road, E1 following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and two pedestrians.
“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a woman, a child, and the rider of the motorcycle at the scene before taking them to hospital. We await an update on their condition.
“Road closures remain in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.36pm yesterday (November 21) to reports of a crash on Whitechapel Road.
"Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, the Tactical Response Unit and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.
"Our crews treated three patients at the scene, before taking them to hospital."
