Four men have been charged after a gang with masks and hoods tried to rob an EE shop in Kilburn.
A gang targeted the EE shop in Kilburn High Road on Tuesday (November 19) at 5.25pm, as they threatened staff to open the safes containing mobile phones.
Two of the suspects detained staff and customers on the shop floor while the remaining two forced a staff member to open the store room.
As the phones were being put into a bag, officers swooped in and stopped four suspects before they could flee.
All four appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (November 21) and were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
This includes two Dartford men Olabiyi Obasa, 28, of Norfolk Road and Nelson Joel, 27, of St Martins Road.
James Adodo, 24, of Perry Street in Crayford was also charged along with Ayomide Olaribiro – who has an alias of Yemi Imbrahimigbo - aged 21, of Warrior Square in Ilford.
They were remanded to appear at Harrow Crown Court on December 19.
Detective Inspector Nikki Owen, from Flying Squad West, said: “We will continue to work closely with our communities, partners and industry leads to prevent and disrupt crime.
“Under A New Met for London officers are intensifying efforts to reduce crimes that matter most to the community, particularly robbery, while actively engaging with the local communities to foster collaboration and trust.”
