A Bromley-based care service has been recognised for its person-centred approach and commitment to dignity but has been advised to address shortcomings in its processes.

Sublime Care UK Ltd, located on Bromley Road, provides personal care for 64 individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism in their own homes.

While the service was praised for ensuring privacy and aligning capacity assessments with the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), inspectors identified areas requiring improvement.

The report highlighted concerns over inadequate risk management and governance, with referrals to external agencies not always being made when necessary.

Medicines management was also flagged as needing attention.

However, service users and their relatives shared positive feedback, describing staff as kind, caring, and supportive.

Feedback mechanisms were also noted as a strength, allowing service users and staff to raise concerns effectively.

Sublime Care has been asked to submit an action plan to address these concerns, focusing on improving risk management, governance processes, and the handling of medicines.

This balance of strengths and areas for improvement demonstrates the service's potential to deliver high-quality care once these issues are resolved.
