A man is fighting for his life after a fall at Ruislip station.

The station was closed today (November 25) after police were called near to 2pm.

According to the London Ambulance Service, crews assisted treating a man at the scene before he was taken to a hospital "by a third party".

Police were called to reports of a man falling.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

Earlier today were minor delays between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill due to the incident earlier, but there's good service on the rest of the line.

However, at the time of publication, Transport for London (TfL) says there are now severe delays between the same stations “due to train cancellations”.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.56pm today (Monday 25 November) to reports of an incident at Ruislip Underground Station, HA4.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first of our crews arrived at the scene in less than one minute.

“Our crews assisted our emergency services partners in treating a man at the scene before he was taken to a London major trauma centre by a third party.”
