Four men have been arrested following a stabbing in Tower Hamlets this afternoon.

Police were called just after 4pm today (November 25) to reports of a man found with stab wounds.

Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service crews, attended the scene.

A 34-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Four men were arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They remain in custody at an east London police station.

A crime scene remains in place as investigations continue, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called shortly after 16:00hrs on Monday, 25 November to reports of a man found stabbed on Clare Street, E2.

"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

"The 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Four men were arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

"They remain in custody at an east London police station.

"A crime scene is in place.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting CAD 5024/25Nov.
