A drug dealer who described Surrey as "a nice place to sell drugs" has been jailed for two years.
Reece Mitchell, 20, who has no fixed address, was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 27 after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.
Police began investigating Mitchell in May when officers on patrol in Epsom noticed him behaving suspiciously.
He was stopped and searched, leading to the discovery of a large sum of cash, multiple wraps of drugs, and a burner phone.
During questioning, Mitchell admitted he targeted Surrey for dealing and claimed he could have made £5,000 from the drugs officers confiscated.
The sentencing comes as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on drug-related crime in the area.
PS Adam Staplehurst of the Epsom and Ewell Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Instead of £5000, Mitchell earned himself two years in prison for these Surrey offences.
“Drugs can have a hugely detrimental impact on the local community and if you come to Surrey to deal drugs, we will pursue you and bring you to justice.”
